Ashburton Singers Summer Tour

This summer the Ashburton Singers will be taking their summer concert of sacred and secular music on tour to some of the most interesting and beautiful churches in the area.
They will present a varied programme of music both sacred and secular to include English Tudor anthems, Elizabethan madrigals and 20th century partsongs. Also on the programme are Lullabies by the Estonian composer Veljo Tormis and a set of charming Children’s Songs by the Norwegian Edvard Grieg. Composers include Thomas Tallis, William Byrd, Anton Bruckner, Edward Elgar, Charles Stanford and Zoltan Kodaly.
The music, chosen for its tunefulness and immediacy, is sure to appeal to every taste and all proceeds will go to individual church projects.
