The Ashburton Singers
We are an amateur choir of 20 to 30 people, singing mostly unaccompanied multi-part music.
The Ashburton Singers were founded in 1975. We perform concerts in St Luke’s Church, Buckfastleigh, the Chapel of St Lawrence, Ashburton, Torre Abbey, Killerton House, and at many wonderful venues throughout South Devon.
The choir have also visited France several times performing in various venues. In addition, we regularly undertake a ‘Summer Tour’ of local villages for performances of our varied programmes, as well as Christmas concerts in major local venues.
We also sing for weddings, and will of course consider singing at other functions if asked.
Our repertoire comprises accompanied and unaccompanied music from the 16th century up to and including the 21st century.
We are based in the town of Ashburton in Devon, England, and recruit our members from a wide geographical area.
STOP PRESS: We currently have places for keen tenors.
